Human Rights Policy

recognize the importance of upholding and promoting human rights both within our organization and throughout our broader sphere of influence. This commitment is integral to our adherence to ethical conduct and good corporate governance. To ensure the protection of human rights, the Company has established this policy in accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). These principles serve as the foundation for our practices, aligning with our sustainable development goals and affirming our commitment to conducting business free from human rights violations.

Definition

Human rights refer to the inherent dignity, fundamental rights, and freedoms to which all individuals are entitled by birth. These rights include equality and non-discrimination, regardless of race, religion, gender, color, language, ethnicity, or any other legal status as defined by national law. Guidelines

  • Fostering a Human Rights-Respecting Culture The Company cultivates and maintains a corporate culture rooted in respect for human rights, as outlined in this policy. We strictly oppose and do not support any activities that may involve or lead to human rights violations.
  • Promoting Equality and Non-Discrimination The Company is committed to fostering equality, non-discrimination, and mutual respect. This commitment extends to all employees, business partners, and stakeholders, ensuring fair and respectful treatment regardless of physical or mental condition, religion, race, nationality, gender, language, age, social status, culture, customs, or any other status or identity.
  • Policy Awareness and Stakeholder Engagement The Company actively communicates and disseminates this policy to all employees, suppliers, contractors, and joint venture partners. We expect all parties to align with our ethical standards, uphold human rights, and conduct business with integrity. We firmly prohibit and avoid child labor, forced labor, human trafficking, or any labor practices that violate legal or ethical standards.
  • Human Rights Due Diligence The Company implements a continuous Human Rights Due Diligence Process to systematically identify, assess, and address human rights risks and impacts. This includes identifying affected groups, developing preventive and corrective action plans, and monitoring outcomes. Where violations occur, appropriate mitigation and remediation measures are provided.
  • Upholding Children’s Rights Beyond the strict prohibition of child labor, the Company prioritizes the protection and promotion of children’s rights in all relevant business contexts. In alignment with the Children’s Rights and Business Principles (CRBP), we are committed to ensuring child safety, well-being, and protection from any form of exploitation in our operations, marketing activities, and community engagement.
  • Promotion and Protection of Community Rights The Company is committed to promoting and protecting the rights of local communities, particularly those residing in areas surrounding our developments. We place special emphasis on engaging with these communities and addressing any potential direct or indirect impacts that may arise from project development, thereby helping to prevent human rights violations involving stakeholders.
  • Commitment to Data Privacy and Responsible Information Handling The Company encourages all employees to uphold and comply with relevant policies regarding personal data protection. This includes the careful management of stakeholder information and disclosure or transfer of personal data to external parties or the public.
  • Ethical Collaboration with Business Partners The Company fosters inclusive and fair engagement with all business partners and actively promotes human rights compliance in accordance with our Supplier Code of Conduct. We ensure equal opportunity for all suppliers through transparent selection processes and legal compliance, while also requiring ethical business conduct. Key commitments include prohibiting all forms of forced labor and human trafficking, prohibiting the employment of children below the legal working age, ensuring that no child labor is used in hazardous work environments that may pose risks to health, safety, development, or interfere with compulsory education, prohibiting child labor in overtime or holiday shifts, and ensuring these standards are applied both within the Company and across its entire supply chain.
  • Reporting and Protection Mechanisms The Company shall establish and maintain accessible channels for reporting any human rights violations related to its operations. It is committed to ensuring fairness and providing protection to individuals who report such violations in good faith.
  • Disciplinary and Legal Consequences Any act of human rights violation is considered a breach of the Company’s Code of Conduct and will be subject to disciplinary measures as outlined in the Company’s disciplinary regulations. Moreover, offenders may face legal penalties if their actions contravene applicable laws.
  • Support for Civic Rights The Company encourages employees to exercise their legitimate civic rights in accordance with the Constitution and applicable laws.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Review The Company actively promotes the involvement of stakeholders, including employees, business partners, local communities, and vulnerable groups, in the development and periodic review of the Human Rights Policy. This engagement ensures that the policy effectively reflects and addresses potential human rights risks.

The Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development Committee oversees the implementation and compliance of human rights practices in line with this policy. The Committee is responsible for reviewing and updating the policy at least annually or whenever significant new contexts or impacts arise, ensuring that it remains relevant and aligned with the Company’s evolving business environment.
