Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policy

AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited recognizes the importance of safety, occupational health, and the environment (SHE) in the workplace, with consideration for all stakeholders of the company, including employees of the company and its subsidiaries, business partners, contractors, visitors, and all related parties. Accordingly, the Company has established the following safety, occupational health, and environmental policy:

  1. The Company shall manage safety, occupational health, and environmental matters in compliance with applicable laws and other relevant regulations, in order to cultivate a safety culture among employees of the Company and its affiliates, business partners, contractors, and all visitors and workers within the Company, in a continuous and sustainable manner.
  2. The Company shall promote and support all employees in performing their duties using processes that do not negatively impact the environment, and shall encourage the efficient and responsible use of resources.
  3. The Company shall promote and maintain a working environment that supports all employees in preserving good physical and mental health, and shall implement preventive measures to avoid deterioration or abnormalities in employee hygiene resulting from work.
  4. The Company considers workplace safety to be the duty and responsibility of every employee. Supervisors must lead by example and actively support and encourage employees to be aware of working safely. They must also ensure that all employees, business partners, contractors, and visitors or workers within the company strictly comply with the established safety and occupational health regulations.
  5. The Company shall encourage and support the participation of all employees, business partners, contractors, and visitors or workers within the company in activities related to safety, occupational health, and environmental management.
  6. The Company recognizes the importance of risks associated with safety, occupational health, and the environment in the workplace, and shall take all necessary actions to ensure that effective prevention and risk management systems are in place.
  7. The Company shall train and develop employees to build knowledge and awareness of the importance of safety, occupational health, and the environment.

    All employees must consistently consider the safety, health, and environment of themselves, their colleagues, and the Company’s property as a top priority while performing their duties.

    Employees must not ignore any accidents or incidents that affect workplace safety and health. They are expected to promptly and fully assist those affected and investigate the cause, establishing preventive and corrective measures to avoid recurrence.

  8. The Company shall monitor and evaluate the implementation of the safety, occupational health, and environmental policy and the prescribed practices to ensure sincere compliance and achieve maximum effectiveness.
  9. The Company shall provide appropriate support in terms of resources—including budget, time, personnel, and other relevant assets—to effectively implement the safety, occupational health, and environmental management system.

This policy is hereby announced for strict compliance and shall take effect on December 19, 2016.
